General terms and conditions for bookings and payment at De Bergenske.

The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with us, including bookings made via our websites and through a third party.

1. Bookings

An email confirmation of the number of guests, price, accommodation, and other products and services to be supplied by the hotel shall be sent to the guest when a booking is made.

2. Price agreement validity

The agreed rates are binding for both parties. Prices are offered based on current tax regulations. De Bergenske reserves the right to adjust prices as a result of increases in purchasing costs of goods and services, increases in taxes, fees, and charges, or other circumstances beyond De Bergenske's control.

3. Changes and cancellations

The terms and conditions for cancellation of your booking depend on the type of booking made. Please check the cancellation terms for your booking in the booking confirmation you have received from us.

Flexible rate bookings

Room reservations with flexible rates can be changed or cancelled free of charge until the cancellation deadline stated in your confirmation email. A cancellation reference will be given and should be retained as proof of cancellation. If you cancel a reservation after the deadline (including any “no show”) you will be charged a cancellation charge equivalent to one night’s accommodation per room booked.

Bookings are non-refundable

Room(s) bookings cannot be cancelled, amended or refunded (including in the event of a “no show”). You may wish to purchase room cancellation insurance in case you need to cancel your reservation.

3.1. Booking guarantees

All bookings require a guarantee in advance, via a corporate agreement, travel agent, or credit card.

3.2 Corporate agreements

For corporate agreement bookings at De Bergenske, the booking/cancellation terms and conditions stipulated in the corporate agreement shall apply.

4. Payment

Payment falls due on the date of check-out unless otherwise agreed in advance of the stay.

4.1 Cash payment

For cash payment, the hotel requires a cash deposit or a credit card pre-authorisation at check-in.

4.2 Card payment

De Bergenske accepts payment from the following credit card companies: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners, and Eurocard. This also applies to bookings made via our websites. Credit cards will be pre-authorised on arrival as a payment guarantee.

4.3 Invoicing

Invoicing must be agreed in advance of the stay. A credit check will be conducted.

5. Check-in and check-out

We guarantee check-in from 15:00 on the day of arrival, and the hotel room must be vacated by 12:00 p.m. on the check-out date.

7. Force majeure

De Bergenske and its individual hotel accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, floods, earthquakes, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.

8. Legal venue

All disputes that may arise between the parties to this agreement (the guest and De Bergenske) shall be governed by Norwegian law. If an amicable solution cannot be reached, the legal venue shall be the location in which the hotel has its registered office.
