Christmas buffets in Bergen
In addition to tailor-made Christmas parties, we have reserved specific dates for our traditional Christmas buffet. At the historic and venerable Grand Hotel Terminus, you can experience our Christmas buffet on 29 November at 19:00. Bring someone special and join us on a taste journey through classic Christmas food!
We have also reserved four important dates at our urban and modern Zander K Hotel for Christmas buffets during the holiday season. Secure your table and enjoy a rich selection of delicious dishes.
We serve everything from pinnekjøtt (traditional salt-cured lamb ribs), pork ribs and lutefisk to juicy medisterkaker pork meatballs, and not least – a bountiful dessert buffet. Don't worry - there are plenty of less local (but equally delicious) options too!
Vegetarian Christmas food
Although a traditional Norwegian Christmas feast often consists of pinnekjøtt, pork ribs or lutefisk, De Bergenske is keen to accommodate all wishes.
"We take our vegetarian options seriously. We see a steady increase in the number of guests who choose not to eat meat, as well as those who want to eat more plant-based. That's why we offer tasty vegetarian dishes for both hotel breakfasts, lunches and dinners – and this also applies to the Christmas dinner season," says Yngve Hansen, General Manager at Skostredet Hotel and Bergen Børs Hotel.
Bergen Børs Hotel is home to the award-winning restaurant Frescohallen, where you can book a Christmas buffet, Christmas lunch, and Christmas dinner. The menu not only features classics such as lobster bisque, pork chops and rice cream, but also a number of tasty alternatives and vegetarian Christmas food.
"In Frescohallen, we have a varied selection of vegetarian dishes. If we are notified of specific requests in advance, we are happy to adapt the menu. In addition, we have a 3-course vegetarian menu made with the season's finest ingredients," says Yngve.

Chambre séparée
Right next to our dynamic BARE Vin og Matbar, we have two bright rooms for chambre séparée, with views of Vågsallmenningen and Bryggen. The two rooms are separated by elegant curtains that create an atmosphere of intimacy and luxury.
Here, you can sit in a private room or gather in both spaces with up to 40 people. You will enjoy an exclusive dining experience, where the chef creates a seasonal menu using the finest ingredients. You can choose between five, seven, or ten courses.
The venue is also well-suited for weddings and other memorable events.
