Terms & Conditions of booking and payment

Here you will find general terms & conditions for booking and payment when using De Bergenske.

These terms & conditions apply to all bookings made with us, including bookings via our websites and bookings made through a third party.

1. BOOKING

E-mail confirmation of number of people, price, accommodation, and other products and services to be supplied by the hotel is forwarded to the guest when a booking is made.

2. PRICE AGREEMENT VALIDITY

The agreed rates are binding for both parties. Prices are offered based on the current tax regulations. The hotel reserves the right to adjust prices as a result of increase in purchase costs of goods and services, increase in taxes, fees and charges, or other circumstances beyond the hotel’s control.

3. AMENDMENT AND CANCELLATION

The terms and conditions for cancellation of your booking depend on the type of booking made. Please check the cancellation terms for your booking in the booking confirmation you have received from us.

Flexible: Room reservations with flexible rates can be changed or cancelled free of charge until the cancelation deadline stated in your confirmation letter. A cancellation reference will be given and should be retained as proof of cancellation. If you cancel a reservation after the deadline (including any “no show”) you will be charged a cancellation charge equivalent to one night’s accommodation per room booked.

Non-refundable: For the avoidance of doubt, the room(s) cannot be cancelled, amended or refunded (including any “no shows”). You may wish to take out room cancellation insurance in case you need to cancel your reservation.

3.1. Booking guarantee

All bookings require advance guarantee via company agreement, travel agent, or a credit card.

3.2 Corporate agreement bookings

For corporate agreement bookings at De Bergenske, the booking/cancellation terms and conditions stipulated in the agreement apply.

4. PAYMENT

Payment falls due on departure unless otherwise agreed in advance of the stay.

4.1 Cash payment

For cash payment, the hotel requires a cash deposit or a credit card pre-authorisation at check-in.

4.2 Card payment

De Bergenske accepts payment from the following credit card companies: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners, and Eurocard. This also applies to bookings made via our websites.  Credit cards will be pre-authorised on arrival as guarantee for payment.

4.3 Invoicing

Invoicing must be agreed in advance of the stay. A credit check will be carried out.

5. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

We guarantee check-in from 15:00 on day of arrival, and the hotel room must be vacated by 12:00 on day of departure.

6. PRIVACY POLICY

7. FORCE MAJEURE

De Bergenske or the individual hotel accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.

8. PLACE OF JURISDICTION

All disputes that may arise between the parties to this agreement (the guest and the hotel) shall be governed by Norwegian law. If an amicable solution cannot be reached, the place of jurisdiction shall be where the hotel has its registered office.
