Summer nights in Villahagen – four magical concerts in August

When August evenings descend over Bergen, the Villahagen garden at Hotel Terminus is once again filled with atmosphere, warmth and live music. Under the trees and among its centuries-old walls, you can gather to experience four unforgettable concerts – with some of Norway's most beloved artists on stage.

This year, Villahagen offers a musical journey through strong lyrics, intimate stories and catchy choruses – from dark song poetry to sing-along hits.

Friday 15th August: Stein Torleif Bjella

With low-key power and warmth, Stein Torleif Bjella has become one of the country's most distinctive folk singers. With roots in Hallingdal and the heart of working-class life, he writes songs that hit home – about pain, beauty and everyday life.

An evening with Bjella is like sitting by the fire and listening to stories about life while the guitar does the rest.

Saturday 16th August: Di Derre

No summer is complete without Di Derre! For over 30 years, the band, fronted by Jo Nesbø, has delivered energetic and warm concerts – full of stories, nostalgia and hits including Jenter, Rumba med Gunn (1–2–3) and Ba-ba-ba.

This will be an evening of laughter, sing-alongs, and a real '90s atmosphere - straight from the heart and straight to the heart.

Friday 22nd August: Kari Bremnes

With poetic power and Northern Norwegian nerve, Kari Bremnes invites her audience to step inside a beautiful and timeless musical universe. She conveys stories with rare depth and presence – supported by strong musicians and vivid lyrics.

This will be an evening for reflection and emotion – with room for both big and intimate feelings.

Saturday 23rd August: Vamp

With roots in the nature of Western Norway and the heart of folk music, Vamp has been delivering some of the most beloved songs in Norwegian music history for almost three decades. Tir n'a Noir, Månemannen, Liten fuggel – this is music that lives on for generations.

When Vamp takes to the stage in Villahagen, you can expect an evening of rhythm, roots and touching moments.

Matured cured ham with tomato concassé, roasted pumpkin seeds, tarragon mayonnaise and cress salad
