Welcome to Skostredet Spa

Skostredet is a charming and historic lane just a stone's throw from the city's waterfront, culture and restaurants. Central, yet quiet. Skostredet Hotel & Spa offers a multi-zone spa, where Nordic tranquillity and natural materials create a seamless journey from hot to cold and back to silence. Skostredet Spa combines a pure aesthetic with the elements of nature – snow, steam, heat, and silence in perfect balance. Subtle luxury, soft rituals, and a feeling of breathing a little deeper. It's an experience you should gift yourself.

Our spa philosophy

Skostredet Spa is a sensory journey, where you move through heat, cold, scents, and silence in carefully composed sequences. The materials are bright and clean, the sound is subdued, and the pace is slow – all to make your body relax and clear your mind. We believe in simplicity with quality in the details: precise temperatures, good seating surfaces, clean scents and well thought-out rituals.

Massage treatments with a muscle therapist

Our massage treatments are designed to provide relaxation, improved circulation, and targeted muscle work. You can choose the treatment that fits your needs for the day, whether you want deeper work on tension or a calm, relaxing experience.

Spa facilities – elements in balance

  • Snow room – real snow for fresh contrast before/after warmth.

  • Cold and hot plunges– rhythms that stimulate circulation and calmness.

  • Steam sauna – humid, soft heat that melts away tension.

  • Nordic sauna – traditional dry heat for a deep feeling of well-being.

Spa experiences & wellness rituals

The experience is described as intense, sensual, and deeply relaxing.
